SUMMER CAMPS 2022

Mission

The summer is an important opportunity for students to connect with each other and express themselves. Theatre 31 recognizes the power of theatre education, and the underlying Social Emotional Learning it provides.

Our mission is to provide fun, non-competitive, all-inclusive theatre arts camps that give students an opportunity to strengthen their abilities to perform and collaborate, enhance their skills of interpersonal awareness, and build self-confidence.

This summer, we are offering 2 two-week camps, and 2 one-week camps.

COVID-19 Protocol

Theatre 31 follows the latest CDC and Los Angeles County COVID-19 prevention strategies, which may include the following:

  • Each morning, our instruction team will meet families at our entry area. Any individual who identifies with one or more symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to a person with COVID-19, will not be allowed to attend camp.
  • Prior to attending camp, each student must send documented proof of a COVID-19 test for which they have tested negative.
  • Before each camp day, all indoor areas of our camp, restrooms, and outdoor areas where children sit and eat, will be thoroughly cleaned. We will also clean any “high touch surfaces” throughout the day.
  • Any indoor areas of our camp will be ventilated with outdoor air. Windows and (if appropriate) doors will be open, and fans and an air filter will be used to increase effectiveness.
  • Students will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival at camp, and will be asked to do so before and after each break throughout the day.
  • Our instruction team will keep supplies such as hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, tissues, and no-touch trash cans readily available throughout each camp day.
  • Our instruction team is fully vaccinated.
